The Curtis Society
Named for the founder of Sacred Heart University, Bridgeport's Bishop Walter Curtis, this elite recognition is reserved for those who have chosen to make a legacy gift through their estate plans. Just as Bishop Curtis envisioned Sacred Heart's mission to be "to prepare men and women to live in and make their contributions to the human community," so do Curtis Society members when they choose to include the University in their estate plans.
Legacy gifts allow alumni and friends to have a lasting impact on SHU and the generations of students to come. Legacy gifts can include bequest intentions, life income vehicles such as charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts, and retirement plans or life insurance policies designating the University as the owner and beneficiary. There are many ways to establish a lasting legacy at Sacred Heart University, and our staff will gladly work with you, in full confidence, to discuss an option that works best.
